Faculty Staff & Elective Lead Tutors

		Stephen Matthew – Principal Stephen has been in full time ministry for over 25 years and founded the Academy in the year 2000. He is a gifted Bible teacher and a senior Associate Pastor of the Abundant Life Church. The communication of truth with clarity is Stephen’s passion, which is reflected in his practical teaching style. He brings his teaching, training and pastoral skills to the Abundant Life Ministries team at a wide range of levels including being Principal of the Abundant Life Leadership Academy.
		Tim Staples – Course coordinator As well as lecturing on some modules Tim manages and coordinates most aspects of the Academy programme. He has a training background in teaching and has a real passion to see people equipped and envisioned to fulfill their destiny. Tim oversees a team of volunteers who form the rest of the faculty and make Academy happen.

		Clare Hooper – Pastoral & Community Lead Tutor Clare is the Abundant Life Church’s community director and oversees Love Bradford, our community outreach ministry. She has a huge heart to see people reached with the message of God’s love. Clare heads up the Pastoral and Community elective.
		Dave Niblock – Youth Ministry Lead Tutor Dave is the Abundant Life Church Youth Pastor and heads up the Youth Ministry elective. Dave has a great enthusiasm and passion to see a generation connect with their creator and impact their world. Originally a student in Leeds, Dave went on to study Pastoral Leadership at Hillsong International Leadership College. Together with his wife Abs they pastor our extension service in Leeds.
		Matt Hooper – Worship Lead Tutor Matt has been involved in music since standing on the coffee table with a guitar aged 3 years old. Growing up in churches and learning to write songs, he found that music has a bigger purpose than living room stardom. Matt is a Worship Pastor at the Abundant Life Church and heads up the Worship and Creative Arts elective.

		Paul Scanlon Paul is the founder of Abundant Life Ministries and has led the Abundant Life Church for over 20 years. Paul’s vision is to first reach those in his own community, build them into an awesome local church and then export the ‘sound’ of that house across the earth. This has resulted in the growth of a fast-paced, contemporary and culturally relevant church community. Paul is known and respected the world over for his books, messages and leadership.
		Charlotte Gambill Charlotte is the Senior Associate Pastor at the Abundant Life Church, Bradford, England. Charlotte is passionate about God’s House, she is committed to building the House and unlocking people’s potential so that they can connect with the reason they are on the planet. Charlotte is director of the Cherish Conference and Cherish Foundation, an international speaker and the author of several books.
		Steve Gambill Steve is the founder/director of Rocknations. Originally from the USA Steve became Youth Pastor at Abundant Life Bradford in 1993 and launched the Rocknations conference in 2001. Since then it has become one of the fastest growing conferences of its kind, impacting thousands of young people who attend Rocknations.
		Jock James Together with Matt, Jock helps to develop the worship elective students. Jock is also one of the Abundant Life Church Worship Pastors. He is a prolific songwriter with a heart to connect people with the presence and purpose of God. Jock heads up RPM, a ministry that has developed as a key part of Rocknations, our youth ministry.
		Mark Stevens Mark is originally from Australia and has been part of the Abundant Life team for over a decade. He has a deep desire for people to know God and to draw people into God's presence, both through the songs he writes and in leading worship. He is involved in song writing, drama, album production, vocal training and teaching on the Leadership Academy.

Every year we have the privilege of welcoming acclaimed speakers from all around the world to our Academy. An overview of last years tutors:

		Magnus Persson Senior Pastor and founder of United Öresundskyrkan, Malmö. Magnus and and his wife Gunilla have a dream  to build churches that make growth and development through personal relationships a priority. Their church is founded on relationships which practice Christianity, sharing daily life together and ministering to people in the local community.
		Scott Wilson Founder of Eurolead.net and ICLM -The Institute for Creativity, Leadership and Management. Based in Denmark, Scott travels extensively in Scandinavia, Europe and beyond, teaching, preaching and consulting with churches. He passionately believes in building and strengthening new European churches to see the next generation of strong leaders emerge.
		Andy Hawthorne Manchester-born Andy Hawthorne is the founder of The Message Trust - a Manchester-based youth charity, driven by Christian principles. Andy has a burning passion to improve the lives of young people of his city. Before becoming a Christian and setting up The Message, Andy had rebelled as a teenager himself. But since the late eighties he has been devoted to developing a multi-level strategy to give opportunities to every young person in the region.
		J. John J.John is a creative Christian speaker with an appeal that transcends gender, age, race, culture and occupation. To date, he has completed thousands of speaking engagements at conferences, towns, cities and universities in 54 countries on 6 continents. J.John has authored over 50 titles, and there are over a million copies of his books in print in thirteen languages.
		Ben Cooley Ben Cooley is the CEO and founder of Hope For Justice, one of the UK's leading anti human trafficking charities. Ben has a passion to see local churches rise up and become aware of this issue. He regularly speaks at churches around the country and is an enthusiastic and inspiring leader.
