Part-time course

The part-time study option we offer is to join with our full-time students on one of the three elective streams that happen on a Thursday between 9.30am and 1.00pm. If you are already involved in church ministry and can’t commit to taking a full year out to study with us, but still want to develop your practical skills, this study option could be a great choice for you. The only commitment you need to make is to study with us on a Thursday morning, making it easy to fit around your normal schedule. Pastoral & Community

This elective is designed to help you learn about the importance of helping people and equip you with skills to do so more effectively. Reaching drug addicts, helping the homeless and ministering to those in prison; these are just some of the cross-sections of life we will look at. Anyone who is involved in, or has a heart for reaching their local community will benefit.

Youth Ministry

This elective is designed to equip you with the skills essential for leading a healthy and thriving local church youth ministry. We believe that young people are worth investing in. Young people are not just the future of the church, they are the church. This elective is about inspiring you to build an awesome youth ministry in your local church by teaching you practical and spiritual principals to lead young people.

Worship

The Worship Elective is designed to equip students in contemporary worship ministry, and to give them the skills needed to relevantly connect people with the message of Jesus Christ and the 21st Century Church. This elective is about helping students to identify, hone and develop their worship and creative arts gift in order to grow in worship leading and connecting others with God in a local church context. All this is delivered by the experienced and skilled Abundant Life Worship Team.
