We believe that every older person is entitled to receive the best possible care in life. The aim of Splendour is to promote care, value and love which in turn transforms the lives of older people in inspirational ways.

Team Leader Christine, has managed care homes for 17 years and understands the different culture of older people really well. She is passionate that they should be appreciated and celebrated.  “Older people in our society are receiving less whilst their profile is under rated. They are treated with disrespect; undervalued and often forgotten. Therefore we need to forge a pathway for the continued improvements of the needs of older people in Bradford and beyond”

Splendour currently provides the following:-

• Free Transportation including wheelchairs
• Priority Seating in Church Services
• Visiting and discipleship of individuals in the community every day
• Assistance with relocation of dependant relatives
• Advice on care services; appropriate organisations and helpers on a daily basis.
• A telephone network for fellowship and support
• Help and Advice for relatives of dependant relatives including respite
• Sunday services in residential or sheltered housing complex
• Serving Opportunities
• House Assistance - de clutter clean etc doing the jobs that have become too big to handle anymore
• Pastoral care to the residents and staff in the homes.

“Splendour Thursdays”
This is a themed event and creates an opportunity to meet and make new friends, enjoy activities, worship and discuss God’s word. ‘Splendour Thursdays’, enables older people to be served in a relevant, welcoming environment plus a three course meal is lovingly served.
